The HCS program provides individualized services and supports to persons with intellectual disabilities who are living with their families, either in their own homes or in other community settings, such as small group homes.
Services Offered
- Case Management
Antodalacare LLC’s Case Manager manages the day-to-day program functions, such as forms, evaluations, assessments, record-keeping, coordinates with transportation services, activities, and appointments. The Case Manager also works together with the resident’s assigned Local Authority Service Coordinator for all required forms, reports and also in ensuring that all program rules are followed. Most importantly, the case manager makes sure your loved one is getting every required service without delay; they monitor those services to ensure that expected service outcomes are achieved or services are modified when needs are changed.
- Residential Assistance
We offer mostly 3-person group homes and some 4-person group homes in our locations. There is immediate availability for this option in all our locations, and if we are full in any of our locations, we will open a new HCS home for your loved one without having to wait for additional people to choose the new home. In addition to the group home model, we offer Host (formerly known as “Foster”). There are also different staffing patterns, which can make the whole set of options confusing. Adaptive aids are any form of devices, equipment, or appliances that enable persons with intellectual disabilities to retain or increase their abilities in performing activities of daily living or control the environment in which they live. HCS approved adaptive aids fall into the categories of:
- Lifts
- Mobility aids
- Control switches
- Positioning devices
- Environmental control units
- Medical supplies
- Employment Assistance
Help in finding a job, learning job skills, such as filling out applications, internet searches, and interview skills, learning how to take constructive criticism from your employer, etc. Also includes learning actual job skills.
- Supported Employment
Assistance in learning the job once they have acquired a job, maintaining that job, and interacting with the employer on behalf of the individual.
- Minor Home Modifications
Minor home modifications include assessing the need for, arranging for, and providing modification and/or improvements to a person’s living quarters to allow for community living and ensure safety, security, and accessibility
- Behavioral Support Services
Includes a variety of related support services designed to shape problem behavior toward more appropriate alternatives, ranging from basic evaluation to in-depth problem behavior management and even Applied Behavior Analysis – ABA – for those who have benefited from such services in the past
- 24 hour Nursing Services
Antodalacare LLC provide individuals who require treatment and monitoring of health care procedures that are prescribed by a doctor or medical practitioner. Also licensed through the TX Department of Health to provide direct Nursing Services to individuals with complex medical concerns and Medical Residential Support Services.
- Respite
Available to persons living in their own home with a primary caretaker (who is not paid by the HCS waiver) that needs relief.
- Dental Treatment
Antodalacare LLC’s planning team will obtain a dental treatment plan for your loved one, and meet with them to determine how to work on and use the available funds effectively to meet your loved one’s dental needs.
- Therapies
(Audiology, Speech/ Language Pathology, Occupational, dietary, cognitive rehabilitation therapy, and Physical Therapy) – All professional therapies are provided by appropriately licensed or certified professionals and are not directly provided by our program. We assist guardians in obtaining these services and can completely arrange appointments for the resident.
